Patrick and Service Dog Ripple

Patrick is a young Veteran who returned from overseas deployment with an extremely rare heart condition. Patrick suffers from seizures and fainting spells that are extremely debilitating and have caused him to fall down the stairs, breaking his collar bone.
Patrick’s entire life changed with this diagnosis. He had to move back in with his parents, he can no longer do fun activities like motocross, and he can no longer work. Ripple has completely changed Patrick’s life. It is incredibly rare to see the bond that Patrick and Ripple had from day one.

Ripple retrieves Patrick’s blood pressure monitor and even sits on Patrick when he senses a drop in blood pressure (something we did not teach him to do!). He helps with laundry, doors, retrieving objects and he gives Patrick a sense of purpose and companionship every day. They are truly an exceptional team!
