Art Pina & Service Dog Mr. Bob
Art Pina entered the Army when he was just 17 and spent two years in Vietnam. After his first deployment, he was assigned the somber duty of funeral detail at Fort George Meade. “After a few months, I asked to return to Vietnam,” he says, and the Army gave him orders back to Vietnam as a combat helicopter gunner. When his enlistment ended, he struggled as a civilian and then returned to the Army for another five years.
